Iron Man

Last Wednesday we went to see Iron Man. I love comic book movies. I have to admit I have not read Iron Man comics. I know just a bit about Iron Man only from cartoons. I like cartoons too. I will admit some comic book movies are better than others. The 2003 Hulk was bad. Spiderman was good but the Spiderman 2 and 3 not so good. I liked Batman Begins and the first Batman with Michael Keaton but not Batman Returns. I liked Jim Carrey as the Riddler in Batman Forever but let’s not mention the other Batman fiascos all I can say about those is even actors have to make a living. The first X-men movie was ok but not the others- the last X-men was really bad. The Fantastic Four was ok- I like the Rise of the Silver Suffer better. I even liked Daredevil.
Well, Iron Man lived up to my expectations. Not only was the pretty Robert Downey Jr. in the movie, but it was full of action. It was a good origin story I felt like it covered enough of the basics to help the people who have never seen a comic book. But best of all it was just plain fun. I love gadgets and Iron Man is all about the gadgets. The gadgets are really why I like 007 movies and of course the beloved Batman has gadgets. Oh sure it could have had more details, but I don’t watch these films to have every tiny detail that the comic books covered. I want fun; I want action; I want the hero to save the day. Iron Man does all of that. So if you want to see a fun movie and I recommend Iron Man.
What I am really waiting to see is a Wonder Woman movie; she has magic lasso and an invisible plane-cool gadgets.
