Home Safe
My daughter went to Girl Scout Camp this week. She had a little outdoor adventure with other girls without her mom around. Last year at camp she had so much fun that she did not even have time to read her letters that I wrote. Afterwards she said it was embarrassing that I wrote to her every day. So this year I decided not to write. Actually I did mean to send one letter, but I put it off and it became too late to mail one. I didn’t feel bad because of her how things were last year. Well this year there was a mean girl and mom did to write to her- not even once. She cried telling me how mean that this girl was and how she felt so lonely because I didn’t write. Now I feel bad. However after the tears, she told me all the fun stuff she did and she told me about the friends she made. Then she retold me the stories they told around the campfire, recited the things she did in a skits, sang a silly song that she learned. So I guess it wasn’t all bad and now she is home safe. I’m sure she will be so bored very soon and will have forgotten all about being lonely at camp.

Kids. Ya can't win!
Except I win this weekend. I'll be kid-free starting tomorrow around noon. Yay!
