Cub Scouting Adventure

If you haven’t guessed by now I like camping and bird watching. It seems that that last few post have been about camping or birding. This weekend we went camping again- this time with the Cub Scouts. My son’s Pack had a family camping trip where they rented a youth camp site at a state park and Scouts and their whole family was welcome to bring their tent and campout. So we did. We went on a 2 mile hike, collected leaves, and identified trees. The boys learned to build a fire and make hobo stew. We all roasted marshmallows and ate s’mores. Then the kids played and ran and shouted until parents couldn’t wait until bedtime. It was fun. So how did you spend your weekend?
